Creating new possibilities

Austria is a nation with a well-defined culture which has appealed to travellers for generations. It was natural, therefore, that JJWorldwide should consider opening an office there to further its interests in the country.

JJAustria, the Holding Company fir JJWorldwide, is based in the capital city, Vienna, as is the fully-owned subsidiary company, Vanguard International Construction and Development.

One company, JJAustria, provides the expertise necessary to manage and operate any hotel and leisure resort developments undertaken in Austria, while Vanguard is responsible for identifying sites with potential and then assisting in the planning and construction phases on those sites.

So far they have concentrated their activities, not surprisingly, in Vienna itself. Standing on the right bank of the famous River Danube, the city has acted like a magnet for centuries.

Great composers and musicians, artists and academics - some of the finest minds in history - have drawn their inspiration from Vienna. Distinguished architects and builders have left a heritage of fine and stately structures which tourists still admire today. With such a rich and varied background, Vienna remains one of the foremost cities of culture in Europe and a site of great potential for JJ Austria.

At present, two new hotels are to be opened, aimed at different sectors of the market. The Amarante Vienna is nearing completion and will be taking guests shortly. It will, of course, operate to the same high standards already in place in existing Amarante Hotels.

There is also a need in Vienna, as in all capital cities, for hotels which offer more than adequate facilities whilst still charging modest prices. Median Hotels come under this category and sites through the city are being considered for the new Hotel Median, Vienna.
