Before our molasses goes into this vessel…
…it goes into this one,

Empty vessels make most noise. They also allow United Molasses inspectors to tell whether a ship is clean enough for our cargo of quality cane molasses. If it is, and the records of the three previous show no sign of contaminants, only then will we charter the vessel.

Our attention to detail does not end there. As the ship is loading, we take samples. After loading, further samples are taken from the top, middle and bottom of each tank. All the samples are then flown to laboratories in Europe for analysis.

When the ship docks in the UK, tanks are samples again, as are discharge pipes and shore tanks. These results are then compared with the loading samples. Only by checking so thoroughly can we be certain that our molasses arrives in optimum condition.

We take the same care in all our activities, from handling and storage to processing and research and development. That is why after 70 years dedicated to feed compounders, United Molasses remains UK market leader in molasses and molasses-based products.
